It’s another good-new, bad-news scenario here. On the good news front, our new website is up
and running and Sherrie Henne, our webmaster and first employee, is back on board answering
questions at our brand-new toll-free number. The new website at www.neemtreefarms.com was designed to make it easier to find
what you’re looking for and faster to check out – plus we’ll introduce some really neat new
features over the next few months. You can reach Sherrie (or Charlie and me) at 877-500-NEEM
(6336) with questions or if you’re more comfortable placing an order with a person than a
computer. The bad news, of course, is the weather. We’ve had another record-cold winter here, with
temperatures setting new records in what has been one of the longest cold spells ever. We were a
little more prepared this year, with a “hot house” section in the greenhouse and a friend lined
up in Key West to ship fresh leaf (not our flash-frozen variety!) It’s also comforting to know
that the trees here will come back, even if they look dead as can be right now. We’re not sure how much or how soon we’ll be able to ship what kind of plants, but if you’re
on this list you’ll get notified first - and a $5.00 coupon when you can finally place an
order. Recognizing that temperatures across the country are nearly as bad as they are here, we’ve
created some hot new specials: - Over the past year, our facial serum has become one
of our top-selling products. Even I’m somewhat surprised at the difference an all-natural
formula has made for my 53-year-old skin, particularly this time of year when it’s cold and
dry. We’ll do a BOGO on it this month - plus we’re stocked up on sample sizes if you’d like to
try it before you buy it.
- A rich neem salve was one of the first products I ever formulated (with a lot of help and
encouragement from friends at the international Herbal Healers group) and it’s still one of my
favorites. My hands and feet get achy in the cold, and I use the salve once or twice a day -
particularly at night because if I forget to rub down my feet, I can tell when I get up the
next morning. The salve also prevents cracking and drying so your feet look as good as they
feel! We can’t do sample sizes on salve but we’ll do a BOGO on the lavender with emu or unscented veggie blends and
hope you share your jar with friends.
- Finally, we’re looking for testers on a new neem hair care product. It’s a
sleep-in conditioner packed with antioxidants that may actually help prevent gray hair and
boost new growth. It’s not for sale yet, but ask for a sample when you place an order, then let
us know what you think.
My new year’s resolution is to make these newsletters more regular, and to keep the websites
more up-to-date with the latest news about neem from around the world. We’re also going to create
an online FAQ to answer questions - please let us know if you have thoughts or specific
recommendations. Stay warm – spring is just around the corner (we hope!) Vicki & and the Neem Team P.S. - If you’re reading this online and don’t see the coupons, just type BOGO in the comment
section and we’ll include a second serum or salve with your order. Vicki Parsons |
