The species most often used in herbal remedies, Aloe barbadenis, is hard to find in the U.S. These plants grow well in sunny windows and can be used fresh, dried or in home-made aloe vera gels. 8-10" tall. Due to changes in government regulations, we can no longer ship living plants overseas, or to Hawaii or Puerto Rico. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Winter seems to have come early again this year and we'll need to stop shipping tropical plants once temperatures drop below about 30 degrees. Even when it's warm on both ends of the trip -- like Florida to California -- we have to assume they'll go through Chicago and spend the night on a truck somewhere cold. We keep a close eye on the 10-day forecast and check to see where it's safe to ship every Sunday morning.
